Clifton has multiple water providers: Passaic Valley Water Commission and Passaic Valley Water Commission - Lodi Borough. This page provides information about Passaic Valley Water Commission.
The Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) supplies water to about 310,121 residents living in the cities of Paterson, Clifton, and Passaic. Founded in 1927, the Passaic Valley Water Commission obtains its supply from surface water sources: the Passaic River in Totowa, or Pompton River, and the Point View Reservoir when the need arises. PVWC also purchases finished water from North Jersey District Water Supply Commission’s (NJDWSC) Wanaque WTP drawing from the Wanaque Reservoir. See information on PVWC - Lodi .
